Our innovative transport system, the “Sandlifter,” has been specifically designed for the vertical pneumatic transport of foundry sand with temperatures ranging from ambient to up to 450 °C. The Sandlifter transport system operates continuously and is almost wear-free. During transport, hot sand is slightly cooled by the fluidization and conveying air stream, which alleviates the load on the subsequent sand cooler and allows for lower sand inlet temperatures.
A common application in foundries is the vertical transport of hot sand from the shakeout and crusher pit to the sand cooler in reclaimed sand recovery systems.
